Genius Sports has strengthened its position in the rapidly developing prediction markets sector after securing separate partnerships with Polymarket and Kalshi, two of the biggest names in the emerging market.
The agreements will see Genius Sports provide official sports data, integrity services and technology designed to support the creation and settlement of sports-related prediction contracts.
For Genius Sports, the partnerships represent another significant expansion of its technology infrastructure beyond traditional sportsbooks, opening the company to a growing new category of sports engagement.
Polymarket Partnership Brings Data and Live Streaming
Genius Sports announced its partnership with Polymarket on 4 August, with the agreement covering official data, exclusive live sports streaming and integrity services for eligible users in the United States.
Under the partnership, Polymarket will gain access to official data from selected leagues and competitions within the Genius Sports portfolio.
The agreement will also give Polymarket access to selected live streaming rights and league intellectual property, creating the opportunity for users to follow sporting events while interacting with associated prediction markets.
Genius Sports said the partnership is designed to create a more trusted and differentiated experience for sports fans as prediction markets continue to attract greater mainstream interest.
Sean Conroy, EVP of Rights and Partnerships at Genius Sports, described strong integrity safeguards as fundamental to the growth of the sector.
The companies will also work together on integrity monitoring and information sharing, using Genius Sports’ existing relationships with leagues and governing bodies to help identify potentially suspicious activity.
Kalshi Agreement Expands Data Offering
Just one day later, Genius Sports announced another major agreement, this time with Kalshi.
The partnership will provide Kalshi with official sports data alongside marketing, media and integrity services.
Official real-time data from Genius Sports’ football portfolio will support Kalshi markets covering competitions including the Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1, Liga MX and Argentina’s Primera División.
The use of official information provides a consistent source for resolving contracts, helping reduce reliance on unofficial or delayed data.
Kalshi will also participate in Genius Sports’ established integrity information-sharing processes.
Adam Barrick, Head of Sports Partnerships at Kalshi, said official data and integrity services are becoming increasingly important as the prediction market ecosystem continues to expand.
The latest agreement builds on an existing relationship between the businesses. Genius Sports already provided official data supporting Kalshi’s partnership with the Argentine Football Association during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
A Growing Opportunity for Genius Sports
The deals arrive as prediction markets take on an increasingly significant role within the sports technology ecosystem.
Platforms including Polymarket and Kalshi allow users to trade contracts based on the outcome of real-world events, including professional sport.
For a sports data provider such as Genius Sports, that creates an additional market for the same fast, accurate information already supplied to sportsbooks, broadcasters and sports organisations around the world.
Chief Executive Mark Locke has described the expansion of prediction markets as a positive development for the company.
Speaking following Genius Sports’ second-quarter results, Locke said the company sees revenue generated through both conventional sports betting and prediction markets as part of a broader addressable opportunity around sports.
The strategy means Genius Sports does not necessarily have to choose between established sportsbook operators and the emerging prediction market sector. Instead, its technology and official data infrastructure can support businesses operating across both.
Strong Second Quarter Adds to Momentum
The partnerships were announced during a positive period for Genius Sports financially.
The company reported second-quarter group revenue of approximately $196 million, exceeding its previous guidance.
Following the performance, Genius Sports also raised its outlook for the full year.
The company highlighted its new partnerships with Polymarket and Kalshi as part of its strategic progress during the period, stating that the agreements extend Genius Sports infrastructure into the growing prediction markets category alongside two of its leading platforms.
It follows a wider period of investment in sports technology, including artificial intelligence, automated officiating, advertising technology and live fan engagement.
Building the Infrastructure Behind Prediction Markets
For the wider iGaming industry, the agreements demonstrate how established sports betting technology companies are beginning to participate in the growth of prediction markets.
Rather than operating prediction platforms itself, Genius Sports is positioning itself as part of the infrastructure that allows them to function.
Accurate live data is particularly important in sports markets, where prices can change rapidly as matches unfold and contracts need to be resolved quickly and reliably.
At the same time, relationships with sports leagues and integrity monitoring systems could become increasingly valuable as prediction markets expand their sporting offering.
With Polymarket and Kalshi now among its partners, Genius Sports has established a position on both sides of an evolving sports wagering landscape.
As traditional betting and prediction markets continue to develop, supplying the data and technology behind both could prove an increasingly valuable strategy.
