Delasport has strengthened its presence in the Canadian iGaming market after going live in Alberta with PlayBetNova.ca, marking the technology supplier’s second regulated provincial launch in the country.
The launch extends Delasport’s existing relationship with the Betnova brand beyond Ontario and brings its full turnkey technology stack into Alberta’s newly regulated online gaming market.
PlayBetNova.ca is powered by Delasport’s proprietary sportsbook, casino platform, player account management technology and managed services, giving the operator a complete infrastructure package designed to support both launch and long-term growth.
Expanding Across Canada
Alberta became Delasport’s second regulated Canadian market following the company’s established presence in Ontario.
In Ontario, Delasport already provides technology and managed services to brands including TitanPlay, Maverick Games and Betnova, giving the supplier an existing operational base in one of North America’s most competitive regulated iGaming jurisdictions.
The Alberta expansion therefore represents a continuation of an existing Canadian growth strategy rather than an entirely new market entry.
Delasport secured registrations from Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis in September as both a Platform Provider and Critical Gaming Systems Supplier.
Those approvals allow the company to provide its player account management system, sportsbook and casino aggregation technology to licensed operators across the province.
“Scalable technology is becoming one of the key enablers of multi-market growth in regulated iGaming.”
A Full Turnkey Proposition
One of the most significant aspects of the launch is the breadth of technology Delasport is providing.
Rather than supplying a single sportsbook or casino product, the company is delivering a full turnkey platform covering core operational functions.
That includes its in-house sportsbook, casino technology, player account management infrastructure and managed services.
For operators entering newly regulated markets, the ability to access multiple systems through a single technology partner can help simplify launch processes and reduce the complexity of integrating separate suppliers.
Delasport says its platform is designed to support operators across regulated jurisdictions while adapting quickly to different regulatory and compliance requirements.
Alberta Emerges as a Major iGaming Market
Alberta launched its regulated online gaming market in July 2026, creating a new commercial opportunity for international operators and technology suppliers.
The province has quickly attracted significant interest, with more than 50 online gaming brands reportedly live by mid-October.
Delasport sees the market as an important part of its wider North American strategy.
The supplier has highlighted estimates suggesting that a large proportion of Alberta’s online gaming activity previously took place through unregulated platforms, creating significant potential for licensed operators as activity shifts into the regulated market.
For technology suppliers, that transition creates opportunities not only through operator launches but also through compliance infrastructure, responsible gaming tools, player management systems and localised product development.
Technology Supports Faster Market Entry
Delasport’s Canadian expansion also demonstrates the increasing importance of scalable platform technology within iGaming.
Operators looking to enter multiple regulated markets need systems that can adapt to local requirements without rebuilding the entire technology stack for each jurisdiction.
Delasport has increasingly positioned scalability as a central part of its proposition.
The company recently highlighted a separate partnership with Betable in which eight brands were already live in the UK and an additional sportsbook brand was launched in less than a month once the core integration had been established.
That same model of reusable infrastructure is becoming increasingly valuable as operators expand into multiple regulated territories.
Building Momentum in Regulated Markets
The Alberta launch forms part of a broader period of international expansion for Delasport.
The company currently supports brands across markets including the UK, Ontario, Brazil, Denmark, Ireland, Mexico, the Netherlands, Sweden and South Africa.
Its product portfolio spans sportsbook technology, casino aggregation, player account management and managed services, alongside newer products including Betiator, its live-sports crash-style betting game.
That combination of platform technology and proprietary products gives Delasport multiple routes to growth across regulated jurisdictions.
Another Step in Canadian Growth
Delasport CEO Oren Cohen Shwartz described the Alberta launch as an important milestone in the company’s Canadian expansion, highlighting its ability to support partners as they enter new regulated markets.
For PlayBetNova.ca, the partnership provides access to a complete operational technology platform.
For Delasport, the launch strengthens its position in a Canadian market that continues to attract international investment from operators, suppliers and platform providers.
As more jurisdictions move towards regulated online gaming frameworks, technology companies capable of combining compliance, scalability and rapid deployment are likely to become increasingly important.
With Alberta now added to its Canadian footprint, Delasport is positioning itself to benefit from that shift.
