MetaBet, a leading provider of real-time sports betting tools and interactive engagement technology, has named Leah Mayo as its new Vice President of Operations.
Mayo brings over a decade of operational leadership experience across start-ups, government, and the non-profit sector. She is expected to play a key role in accelerating MetaBet’s growth as the company moves into its next phase.
“Joining MetaBet provides the perfect opportunity to work alongside and learn from Mark. Moving into the sports analytics space offers huge potential, and I cannot imagine a better team to work with. I cannot wait to build the operational backbone to support MetaBet’s continued innovation and success,” said Mayo, commenting on her appointment.
In her new role, Mayo will work closely with MetaBet Founder and CEO Mark Phillip to realise the company’s strategic vision, enhance internal operations, and oversee daily execution across functions including finance, human resources, compliance, and sales support. She will focus on developing operational frameworks that enable MetaBet to scale effectively while maintaining organisational clarity and discipline.
Prior to joining MetaBet, Mayo served as an independent consultant and Fractional COO for several international companies in the travel and hospitality industries. In these roles, she led U.S. market expansion initiatives, improved operational efficiency, and developed go-to-market strategies. She also founded FOUND Experience, a travel tech firm recognised by BuiltIn as “One to Watch 2020.” Earlier in her career, she worked with the British government on international growth strategies for technology clients ranging from Fortune 5 firms to rapidly scaling start-ups.
Mayo holds an Executive MBA from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
“MetaBet built this category and continues to lead it with the best technology in the space. With Leah driving operations, we now have the bandwidth and speed to innovate faster and deliver new market-shaping products to the industry,” said Mark Phillip, Founder and CEO of MetaBet.
