Aristocrat Interactive has licensed its Buffalo and Mo’ Mummy franchises to Gaming Realms, bringing two established gaming brands into the company’s Slingo portfolio.
Under the agreement, Gaming Realms will develop new Slingo adaptations based on the two franchises, combining their existing themes and gameplay with its distinctive Slingo mechanic. The format brings together elements of slots and bingo to create a hybrid game experience.
The licensed titles are expected to be distributed through Gaming Realms’ international operator network across regulated markets from 2028, giving the franchises an opportunity to reach new audiences through a different game format.
Bringing established brands into Slingo
The agreement will see Gaming Realms build on the existing recognition of Buffalo and Mo’ Mummy while adapting both brands for its Slingo format.
Rather than simply transferring the existing games into a new environment, the licensing arrangement allows Gaming Realms to combine the themes and gameplay associated with each franchise with the mechanics that underpin its Slingo portfolio.
For Aristocrat Interactive, the partnership provides another route for its established content to be developed across different formats and distributed through an international network of regulated operators.
A growing role for licensed content
Content licensing continues to provide suppliers with opportunities to extend recognised intellectual property beyond its original game format.
For Gaming Realms, working with established franchises adds recognisable brands to its development pipeline while giving its Slingo portfolio additional content designed for different audiences and markets.
The planned 2028 releases will also give operators in regulated jurisdictions access to new Slingo content based on two established franchises.
New opportunities across regulated markets
Lauren Caruana, vice president of commercial UK and EU at Aristocrat Interactive, said the agreement will bring Buffalo and Mo’ Mummy into the Slingo format and introduce the brands to new audiences.
Craig Falciglia, vice president for North America at Gaming Realms, described the collaboration as a milestone and highlighted the global fanbase surrounding both franchises.
The partnership brings together Aristocrat Interactive’s established gaming IP with Gaming Realms’ Slingo expertise, creating a new set of branded titles for distribution through regulated international markets.
With the first releases planned for 2028, the agreement represents a further example of how established gaming franchises can be adapted into new formats while extending their reach across the global regulated gaming sector.
